We had lots of good brew to taste.

Mike's saisson and Stan's "Double Date" made with date extract.

Ask A Brewer:

There were a lot of good samples from members and guests this month. Don't take it personal if I left you off. We tasted a Wit, Rye ale, a mead, a doppelbock, stouts, porters and others. There was quite a bit. A guest, John, brought in a tasty spiced brew, but I didn’t get the name of it.

Thanks to Annie and Dwayne for the cheese & crackers, pretzels, and homegrown watermelon.

Field Trip meeting at Mother Earth Brew Co. at 2055 Thibodo Rd., Suite H. in Vista. Thanks to Kamron and his family for making us feel so welcome with chairs tables and beer.

We had several new guests. There were at least 20 people.

BARLEY LITERATES JUNE MEETING

Reminder – Next month’s meeting will be held at the Mother Earth Brewery in Vista. Bring your own chair. Meeting will be July 21 at 6:30 pm.

The next meeting for the Southern California Home Brew Fest (SCHBF) will be on June 26th in Brea. Dave Woelke will attend and would like someone who attended the last SCHBF to accompany him. If interested please call Dave at 760-741-1122.

Great meeting! Tom Ryan a long time member who retired and has been hosting at the Federal Camp grounds attended the meeting. It was interesting to hear his adventures and his brewing hints. A new guest some of us know, Teresa attended. She is a beer freak and is looking to start brewing.
